Any new moms so deathly scared of SIDS? I can't seem to stop crying and worrying because I'm so scared something will happen to my baby. I had him at 34 weeks, he was in NICU for a week and is doing well. He's 19 days old right now and I still worry more each day. I can't imagine what I would do if something ever happened to him.

Oh hunny my son 5 years-old and I still worry about that stuff. That's a normal worry unfortunately there is nothing we can say to ease your mind .the chances are unluckily  I pray for no more abbaues to be taken from their parents!our babbies are our world we will always worry about them .my husbands brother lost their baby from side awhile ago and one of my friends lost her 11 yearold in a bad car wreck and her son is still in bad shape in the hospital. You just never know all we can do is hold our babbies close and love them and pray for them.

What about an owlet or snuza to help your fears?

Yes I worried about SIDS constantly. I also had a preemie, born at 33w1d and she spent 4 weeks in NICU. One night after she came home she was making weird noises when sleeping so many husband and I literally stayed awake all night and took her to the doctor in the morning. There was nothing wrong with her, she was just very young and very tiny.

Just follow the safe sleep recommendations and try not to let it stress you out too much. I definitely suggest having your baby sleep in your room so you can easily see / hear them. That always gave me peace of mind because if I woke up in the night I could easily glance at her and see she was still breathing. (I also would regularly put my fingers under her nose to feel for breathing!) I'm sure you've read up on all the safe sleep tips but you can ask me any questions you want. I was truly obsessed with it.

By the way, my daughter is 20 months old now and I still have the SIDS fears in the back of my mind, but definitely nothing like when she was newborn!
