How Many Hours Spent Feeding?

Question

How many hours do you on average spend breastfeeding ypur baby at 2 to 3 months of age?
My lil one has been spending 20+ minutes per tit every hour or hour and a half from start. So that's 40 to 60 minutes a feed, starting say at 1pm, then wants to start back up at say 2:20 pm. I've spent about 5 and a half hours today breastfeeding and he won't go to sleep...

My son has been alternating short distracted feeds where he keeps popping off with epic feeds where he's 2/3 asleep but not okay with coming off for a couple of weeks now. I almost prefer the later because I can just multitask on my phone as opposed to feeling like nursing is a wrestling match. He's 11 weeks. It's supposedly a mental leap thing; hopefully it finishes soon.

I had issues with this too and my son had a posterior tongue tie and upper lip tie. We had it lasered last Monday and they released his tongue 3/4 of an inch. He also has weight gain issues and isn't gaining as fast as the pediatrician wants. Some of his feedings are shorter and more milk transfers in a shorter period of time. So if there are no issues with weight gain, it is probably a growth spurt.

I feel like it maybe a growth spurt. We are going through the exact same thing. Very exhausting ! No time for anything, by the time we are done with one feed it's already time for the next one 😫

My little one will eat every hour and a half to 2 hours during the day for 10 to 20 mins or longer... right before bed she likes to take her time so she spends 30 to 45 minutes. And just when I think she is sleeping, I will go to pull away from her and she starts sucking like crazy!  It hurts sometimes
