who was in the delivery room?

When you gave/when you give birth... who was/will be in the delivery room with you?

I want it to be just my partner and I, but he's trying to talk me into having his sister in there with me cause she has had 4 kids and has experience.

I just want it to be a moment between us.

Just my husband. 
Only have who you want there. You are having this baby. Tell him when he pushes a baby out of his vag, he can decide who will be present. You can compromise if you want and allow his sister in after you've given birth and gotten situated. But that's totally up to you.

Just my husband. It was a special moment for just us. No regrets, I loved the intimacy of it.
What's his sister going to do that the nurses can't?  Does your SO feel like HE needs the support?

Just my husband, besides the fact it was a snow storm so I wouldn't let him call anyone until after. But that's how I wanted it. We were the only 2 there when she was made so we should be the only ones there when she was born.

Just my husband. With my first my mum was at the hospital for my labour and waited outside while I gave birth. With my second it was just us. Will be just us this time too.

It's honestly who you feel most comfortable with....I had my hubby and my mom with my first...I trust them to see my true colours and love and except me no matter what, and not hold things I do over my head. With this pregnancy I have added my mother in law. Me and her have a great relationship, she like a second mom to me. So I figured I would share the gift of her grandson being born...its up to her if she feels comfortable being there. But I say invite the ppl you feel safe with.

Tell him your doctors and nurses have more "experience" with this. What is he even thinking? Lol She has zero experience actually medically birthing children for other people. If he is all you need for support then tell him no,it'll be just the two of you.

I'm only having my husband and my mother. When you are contracting so bad and you hit the inevitable wall, you want someone who can personally and emotionally push you through it. For me that's my mother. If for you that's his sister, then by all means. But I couldn't imagine having my SIL in there with me.

With my first birth my partner was in the room with me and my mum and big sister were outside waiting my mum kept poping her head in which did not help I kept crying when she popped her head in. For my second I had my partners father there as my partner couldn't be there as she came 10 days early and he was away for the weekend for a final get away with friends. This time my partner is going to be there and I can't wait to share the experience with him again it was horrible last time without him. Xxx

I only want my hubs ans my sister but he prefers it just be the 2 of us. My sister has already been given the role of enforcer lol she's to keep any "unwanted" visitors out,like my mom... I love the woman but she'd drive me insane

It would depend on how close you are with his sister. It's a pretty intimate experience and you don't want someone in there just because they have experience but not much of a connection. That's your midwife/doctors job. The only reason you should have her in there is for support, not experience!!
