has anyone regretted NOT getting their babies ears peirced???

My DD is 6 months. I don't want to peirce them I want it to be her decision when she's older but I have a friend who has a 5 year old and wish she did it as a baby because her daughter wants them but is too scared....does anyone wish they did it when they were babies????

I personally do not like how it looks when babies and little girls have pierced ears because it is (in my opinion) a selfish act on the parents' part.  It is just for looks and it makes it look like the parents want the little girl to grow up too fast.  Let them be babies for as long as you can - they already grow up too fast!!!

I don't like seeing babies with pierced ears. I can't even pin point what it is but I absolutely hate it and always have. When our daughter arrives we won't be piercing her ears until she asks for it. Also under no circumstances will she be called princess either hate that crap just as much.

I am pregnant with my first baby. A little girl.  I plan to pierce her ears young. My mom did not do mine bc she wanted me to make my own choice. I really wanted them but was too scared. I always just wished she did it when I didn't remember. She can always take them out as her choice if she doesn't want pierced ears but most girls love their pierced ears! Just my opinion 💕

Don't have a daughter, but my ears were pierced at 2 weeks. I wish my mother hadn't done this because as I grew, they are no longer symmetrical, and clearly one is higher than the other.

Would have been nicer to wait until I was old enough to sit still and get them done evenly.

My mom actually regretted having mine done as a baby because you have to take the studs off to clean them every couple weeks or so or else shampoo and stuff get in the stud, as a baby it was fine but once I was 9m until age 4 I hated having it done and my parents had to pin me down to get the studs off and back on. For my younger sister she waited.

Her daughter will get her ears pierced when she's womaned up enough to face the fear, which is right. It's silly for her to wish she'd done it earlier. Everybody needs a challenge to grow into!

Do it while they're young so they don't remember. They can always take them out if they don't like them. If you do it when she's young, she won't mess with & you can clean them & keep them clean properly. Less likely to get infected. I'd also recommend getting them both done at the same time. It hurts for a second & she'll be fine. They're so cute! I don't regret getting my daughter's ears pierced. I had mine done when I was 6 & I hated my sisters fir talking me into it bc it hurt. I would've much targeted have it done when I wouldn't remember it.

Nope! I'm personally glad I waited bc both my kids needed ear tubes at 9 months old so I wanted to make sure she had grown out of the issue before I pierced her ears. When she was ready for them she asked; her aunt treated her for her 4th Birthday. She did amazing & didn't cry!
