should they be together??

So my friend and her boyfriend have been together for about 8 months and they get in arguments like everyday. He doesn't get her depression and everything. She came over yesterday and was suppose to come with her boy and he said he'd be there in 20 mins, then he called saying he's not going. So she called him saying that she was going to go over after she hung out with me but then he didn't tell her or text her or even call her. Then she was going to his house and he said that he's at a golf place with his friends. So he totally blew her off for his friends. Btw he never texts or calls her. She always calls me crying and wanted to end her life because of her sever depression. He can't even understand it at all. So should they be together???
