Dating my manager???

So, my manager has liked me for quite some time now and I like him as well. We have spent time together outside of work and our first actual date is next week. Is this a bad idea?

It can be good and bad. I've dated my kitchen manager from 1 place before, but that ended badly. Then dated the assistant manager at another place. That went great. As long as you keep business and personal separate. Like don't bring your personal problems to work...then all will be fine.

Honestly it never is a great idea. Here is what happens:

1. It's hard to keep personal and precessional life separate.

2. When you say something he doesn't like at work, he'll become manager and you'd hate that, because you were being a gf.

3. At the same time when he is being a bf at work, it's ok.

4. A personal argument outside of work will continue on in office. And you'll have the worst day ever. Because he can make you miserable since he is your manager.

I know this all sounds silly. And everything is nice right now. But think of long term consequences. You'll hate working there, even if you like the job, if things get sour later. It's ether to keep a professional relationship only with work people.
