Should I switch hostipals?

So I went to the hospital around 1240pm or so because I'd been have mild/moderate contractions all night and sharp pains in my lower back. I get checked in and had a nurse argue with me saying it was just dehdryation,after my bf and I finally convinced her it wasnt just dehdryation she called my Dr. My Dr came and checked everything but sent me home even though I was having Pretty strong mild/moderate contractions at almost 37 weeks. He said there was basically no dilation and that if I go into full blown labor before 40 weeks he was going to stop my labor. He also said that at my weekly appointment he wouldnt be checking for any dilation because it's not mandatory. Has anyone else experienced this?
