A controversial question: do you think fate or destiny brought you and your significant other together?

Do you girls have any interesting consequential stories that convince you that it is indeed fate? Or stories that say love is what you make it and it requires dedication? All of the above? For those who have yet to experience a real meaningful relationship what do hope for?

I think fate did because I met him the DAY I moved to NY.
Funny story because he was going to go get his haircut and there was a guy before him who had his exact name and when they called their name, My SO thought it was him. When he was done getting his haircut, He saw me walking to the store (before I had a car) and he followed me all the way into the grocery store and pretended to bump into me TWICE before finally getting the courage to ask for my number. The reason I think it was fate is because, Had the guy who had the same name as me went before him, He would've never gotten his hair cut in time to see me walking into the store. Here it is, 6 years later. All the bad and good, break ups and makes and we're together planning a future for our kids ❤

I like the idea of fate but I don't really believe in it 😂 proximity plays a huge role in attraction, as my social psychology teacher says... idk though my boyfriend and I seem to compliment each other really well and I consider myself lucky we crossed paths and were able to start this relationship 💙

My fiancé & I met on fb of all places. I added him when I was 15, I was a freshmen in high school. He was 14 in 8th grade! He messaged me one day & we started talking. It eventually transitioned to texting! We talked for 6 long months. I obviously had other guys in school crushin on me but he never left my mind & I hadn't even met him yet! We meet after months of just talking on the phone & facetiming all night long (literally) lol. I was a nervous wreck! My face was flustered & not to mention he was SO cute! My sister took us to the mall. He bought us a t-shirt with our names on it. So adorable! We walked around for hours. He asked me if he could get a hug. I didn't even say anything and just kinda rushed into it lol (cause I secretly wanted to very badly!) he smelt sooo good and I couldn't help my heart from beating uncomfortably at this point. After that we only could see each other once every 2-4 months. It was very hard. He had moved and there was a chance he wouldn't be able to go to my high school. One day I ran & slowly tears starting pouring down my face & I was praying to god to let him be in the same school as me. I didn't wanna go months without seeing him. It was killing both of us. Sure enough he went to my school! We eventually started going to each other's houses. We lost our virginity to each other. Fast forward 5 years later, we live together. We're engaged & trying to have our first baby. We have had hard times. Things have happened that normal couples would leave and never look back on. We've had break ups and we know what it's like being with other people and the connection was never there. No one can ever replace him, or even come close. I love him & always have. I'm now 20 & hes 19, we still act like kids when we're out in public & even to our selves. Even his flaws are beautiful to me. I 100% think fate & the good lord has brought us together. Not just once but multiple times.

I was in college when I met my husband. We had been going to the same school a whole year and we never met till the last two weeks of school. We had both decided before we met neither of us we're going back to school there the following year so we met at the last possible second. We lived 6 hours apart after school ended and were long distance for about a month. He got in an accident commuting back to his house from mine and one thing led to another and he ended up living with me. Fate played a big role in the beginning but now that we've been married and have a kid now it feels like it takes more work than it use to. You should always work hard to make the person you love and are with happy or it's never gonna work. Fate can play it's part but you have to play your own part too ❤
