How many times did you wash your baby's stuff?

Like clothes, sheets, towels, etc. Is once enough? And did you use different washing detergent or the same as what you and your partner use for your clothes and linen?

Once, I used dreft for baby clothes, tide free & clear (which is what I also use) for sheets, blankets, etc.

Once is fine (as long as it's not going to sit in a closet for months and get dusty), any of the free and clears, i use All free and clear. After a couple months I started adding a little of my regular detergent slowly to the baby's load to make sure baby didn't react (one of my 3 kids has sensitive skin so it took longer before I could switch to regular for him).

If you want you can use a sensitve skin or the "free & clear"s that alot of brands are coming out with or you can use brands such as dreft which are geared more towards newborn or children's clothes. Its up to you. Once is typically enough. If you choose to use normal detergents just keep an eye on your baby for any rashes or reactions to the scent boosters that are placed in these detergents and fabric softeners that we are used to. Typically by a year old you can switch back to normal detergents (again up to you,) if you choose if they dont have any sensitivities to them.
