Smoking weed during pregnancy increases the risk for certain things just like smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol does. The babies are twice as likely to end up in intensive care after birth, more likely to have smaller heads, be born prematurely, and they sometimes have some impairment in brain function (like their memory is not as good) and this can be a long term problem for the child.

I'm a stoner. I love weed. But it shouldn't be around children. Their bodies and brains are still developing and weed obviously has an effect on/changes those processes - which can fuck up the developing body.

Smoking anything is essentially forcing the unborn baby to inhale that smoke as well. Also, depending on where she lives, doctors may get cps involved if she or the baby tests positive for thc.

I can't give any scientific facts, but I do know that my mom smoked pot through every pregnancy and all of her kids turned out fine, and pretty damn smart too.

I'm not sure about other states but here in Colorado they test all babies for THC, and any that come out positive automatically get a call to CPS. Also my mom smoked all through her pregnancies with me and my siblings, and it's impacted all of us.
