My thoughts on the glucose test...

I was so scared of it. Lol

So, i had to be up at 6 am to get my niece to school. And go straight to the lab. So i get there lab is packed they are short staffed and i was already feeling miserable ... so it took about 30 minutes to get the drink. They didn't give me options which i had heard they did... i was giving lime flavor. It was not that bad. Drank it within the 5 minutes. And now the waiting game.(1 hr). 15 minutes in i felt nauseated . Baby was wiggling all over the place. And i couldn't sit still . 20 minutes in.. some stinky ass guy walks in. And i mean he smelled so bad. . . At least 3 people walked out if the room . . I asked if i could go sit in my car or at least in the entrance where its not all stuffy full of people and i could get fresh air.. i was told no. And they offered me a mask cus they knew i was feeling sick cus of the stinky man... i said no. Cus i hate those things. Lol.

So finally around 35 minutes later he walks out. Room still smells tho.. i got up to use the rest room and stand in the hall cus i couldn't take it anymore. 45 minutes in i was dizzy from hoe hungry i was and all the sugar in guessing. And finally 1 hr later it was over. Took the lady forever to draw my blood. She couldn't get a vein. Poked me about 3 different times... finally got someone to come help. So i had one person on each arm..

Over all the drink wasn't horrible but the wait was. Lol. Hoping i dont have to go back for the 3 hr one.
