Discomfort

So in the beginning of my pregnancy, I was spotting very light pinkish discharge. One night, me and my boyfriend decide to have intercourse. Afterwards, I was in pain but it went away moments later. The next morning, I had a blood trail come out and a small blood clot. I didn't have any cramps or abdominal pain, so that thought I was starting to have a miscarriage so I went to the ER. They took blood work and did a ultrasound, I was fine but I did have a BI. They prescribed antibiotics and I took it for a week and now I'm off. But I recently had intercourse with my bf again, it hurt again but the pain went away. I'm afraid that in the morning, I would bleed again or worse. Is it safe to have intercourse in early pregnancy?
