first period after baby

When did you all get your first period after having your baby? This is kinda TMI, just a warning. My bleeding stopped around 6 weeks but old blood would still come out every once in a while. My boyfriend and I have only had sex twice and I started leaking old blood for a day or two afterwards both times. The second time being a couple of days ago. Just now I just randomly had a big gush of blood come out... but it's purple. I don't know if I did some damage having sex the other day or what. Anyone else get a period this soon? When my friend had her daughter she didn't get her period for 3-4 months.
