Drug testing baby in hospital after birth??

Question

Negative Nancies...calm down. Im looking for real answers,but no need to be nasty( just what Im expecting).
Im asking anyone whos had a baby recently, or is a nurse or in delivery unit in any way...
Are hospitals pretty likely to drug test everyone?
I think if a mother uses hard drugs OR there is a high amount of anything in her system...yes take the baby away or intervene in some way. Yes. I love all babies. Save them.
Well i smoke pot. Not much now. Im 3 months. I used to smoke daily then have stopped. I have smoked about 7 times in last 3 months since finding out. Only for extreme anxiety, since I stopped all meds.
Helped me alot,to be honest. 
I do not plan on smoking much more. Was gonna try to stop by this month.

I know this isnt great. I wish I didnt. I hope very much nothing will happen to baby nor it be affected. But ive been reading that they test newborns and if you test positive,they wont let you breastfeed and notify cps. Or bad drugs,take your baby.
I live in Wisonsin if anyone is familiar?! Am i already in trouble. Not sure what to do

They will test the baby's meconium for drugs and if it's positive, a social worker will be called.

I'm sorry to say but it's good that their testing these women. I'm not against pot but I don't agree that a baby should have to suffer, because the mom decides to be a Crack head. I'm not directing this towards you at all. I have seen pregnant woman doing Crack or coke to the point where the baby dies

I had a baby today and they had me give a urine sample for the sole purpose of a drug test.

A friend of mine who smoked cannibis during her pregnancy for nausea had her baby in the hospital and they drug tested her without her knowledge (but from my understanding you have to sign a consent form unless they suspect danger to the baby and she doesn't recall if she did or not because they had her sign so many papers). But all that happened was she got a lecture from a nurse.

I'm pretty positive that when they collect the babies first poop (meconium) they do drug test it.

When they check they baby's blood type and sugar levels they also run the blood for drugs. Depending on the state the child can be taken away and I think it also may depend on the severity of the drug(s). Most obs will tell u that you shouldn't be smoking pot bc by law they have to but most will.recommend stopping the last 2/3months to make sure it's out of your system. Good luck

I live in pa and had smoked occasionally and i wsn not tested nither was my baby. Its my understanding they would, just like police, have to reasonable cause... Like if u come in and they can visably see ur under the influnce of something. Other wise they would need ur permission to do so.

I guess the state I'm from is different because I was a phlebotomist and I remember one day a nurse frantically calling the lab asking me if we could erase the results from a drug test from a patient's records. The answer is no lol She was freaking out because the mom tested positive for a ton of different kind of drugs and I guess there had been a miscommunication between the nurses and they thought they had received her permission for the testing, but they hadn't. So now it's on her file without her permission.

A good friend of mine smoked pot for severe morning sickness while pregnant. They tested her pee without her knowledge at one appointment before 12 weeks  and gave her a warning that the next time she tested positive they would report to CPS.  We're in Georgia.
