Is it possible for period to come so early while taking birth control pills?

I lost a baby 2 months ago (ectopic with only one tube left) Since I'm scared to get pregnant again I barely started taking birth control pills this is my first pack I'm on the 2nd week 4th day and since I have a busy schedule I keep forgetting to take them at the same time everyday. I just started bleeding red like a period but is it possible for it to come so early even though I didn't finish the pack yet.
