Cutting my long hair.

Okay so I have long hair. Longer than 24 inches!  I've be. Wanting to cut it into a medium bob FOREVER. & the only thing stopping me is my husband always whines and says he loves my long hair. Well recently he said for me to just cut it how I want so I have a hair appointment tomorrow! Should I just do it since I love it or should I not do it since my hubby doesn't love it 100%????
