Vitamin d3 insufficiency?

I just got a letter from my fertility doctor saying my vitamin d3 levels are in the "insufficient" range. I'm not deficient...yet. So they want me to start taking 3000iu of D3 daily. Doesn't anyone have a recommendation? Do far (without having to order online) I'm only able to find a gummy vitamin wih 3000iu (at target) anyone else?

I have had a d3 problem through out my entire pregnancy and I am 35 weeks now. 
I have taken supplements twice a day and it has barely altered it. I found the chewy ones better to deal with when I was having morning sickness and now with heartburn. 
Just make sure you get pleanty of calcium in your diet as a low d3 can also mean low calcium.

If you want more vitamin D absorption, I would suggest 1.) upping your calcium intake and 2.) getting it from vegetables/fruits. I have the same deficiency (although my deficiency is almost always a full deficiency), and it is because I definitely don't get enough calcium. Also, eating lots of processed foods makes it so your body doesn't absorb vitamins well, so make sure you're eating a healthy diet.

I'm deficient also although my doctor prescribes me 1000units sry i'm not more help.
