Marriage validity

So I see a lot of posts about marriage. It seems like a lot of you think marriage is really important (which is fine. I'm married so I obviously agree with marriage) but anyway, I see a lot of judgement about it. Women saying it's irresponsible to have kids without being married. I've noticed that most of the women saying that are religious. So I'm hoping to find some of the religious married women and ask if you still think a marriage is equally valid if the people getting married aren't religious So they don't make any promises to God or whatever the religious thing about it is.
