honestly.... how the hell does she expect me to get pregnant?! she put me on birth control for 3 months since I'm irregular, but BC prevents ovulation.. or am I wrong? I'm stressed out, TTC for a little over a year before being diagnosed w pcos.  *** I just wanna add: if you experienced this as well, can I hear your success story? or any other success story using any other medication I can bring up to her my next visit. thanks in advance ✨

If she just put you on BC for 3 months then she expects you to get pregnant after you stop. It actually should make it easier. I was on it for 6 months to help thin out my uterus and got pregnant the first month after stopping.

You could also try seed cycling and Vitex. Maca Root is great too. If your hormones are out of wake then an herbal blend called Fem Rebalance is great! Birth control messes with your hormones and can cause other issues like estrogen dominance. It takes 3-6 months for seed cycling to take its full effects. I was on birth control for 16 1/2 years. I didn't have a period for 11 months after stopping! It took me 1 week short of 6 months to Rebalance my hormones using these natural methods and I got pregnant after my very first period in Decemeber. I personally swear by these natural methods!... My doctor put me on BC when we wanted to start trying to regulate my cycle and make it easier to conceive. Once I got off of it my cycle stayed the same as it was when I was on the pill!

Not much of a success story of getting pregnant because I'm only on cycle #2 but definitely owe some all of my credit to Myo-Inositol. My cycles were 80 days long and period lasted 2+ weeks with the longest last 3 1/2 weeks. My most recent cycle was only 56 days and I ovulated for the first time, had my period exactly 2 weeks after ovulation and my period lasted exactly 7 days. My doc put me on birth control too. I ended up stopping it back in September and had a chemical pregnancy/very early mc, but I had a positive digital before my af was even due. I started back on the pill after that and just recently stopped it at the end of January and I'm hoping to get pregnant this cycle. I told my doctor I wanted the next step in the process and he prescribed me metformin and clomid. I'm on the metformin now but I have to wait on metformin until I get my period again. I'm almost certain I ovulated this cycle though so hopefully I caught it in time and won't have to take the clomid.

Because birth control is used to regulate a period especially used in that short time frame as well as it can be very easy to get pregnant after stopping bc.

It's regulate you, then it should become easier to get pregnant. I had the same thing. Got put on it back in may, and lost some weight. Stopped taking it in October, and now I'm pregnant! ❤

In the same boat! Been trying for around 10 months. Found out just before xmas I had PCOS. The specialist gave me Metformin to  regulate my periods as I was having them every 3 months and was not ovulating (which was why I wasn't falling pregnant). After a month of Metformin, I got my period dead on 28days like normal so hopefully they are working and could fall pregnant

I know it's frustrating but try to relax and hopefully it will happen 😊

I didn't like the idea of being put on birth control especially while ttc (makes no sense) so after talking to my doctor more she put me on metformin to help regulate my periods. Once we got them regular for a couple months and I still wasn't ovulating she put me on clomid and I got pregnant my first round. Don't give up hope, easier said than done, I know, but try to stay positive and hope for the best. We are currently ttc #2 and now have to start everything over again. It's a very long process but worth it in the end. I hope you get everything figured out!

I'm not familiar with Dim supplements. I am a huge fan of Vitex for women with low progesterone and PCOS. Along with Maca Root. I have been taking Vitex since July and it has worked wonders for me! I have tried a few brands. The best brand I have found is by Orgeon's Wild Harvest. I am on my 3rd bottle of that brand and I highly recommend it. It sounds like your friend likely knows what she is talking about. You can probably trust her recommendations. I do suggest looking into the other ingredients and making sure it is as pure and high quality as possible. The only thing I don't like about the brand I am taking is that it is in a plastic bottle.
