C sections ?

Hey ladies ! Have any of you had a cesarian ? I'm having one next week , and I'm terrified . I'm excited to meet my little girl , but I'm very nervous . Any advice for the recovery process ? I have also heard it's more difficult to get back into shape . I don't expect it to happen quickly , but this pregnancy has destroyed my self confidence . Anything to help that is worth a shot ! My daughter will be well worth it all.

It wasn't that bad but it wasn't great I had trouble taking care of my son I couldn't get out of bed to go get him without someone help which was my husband I could seat down without pain for a while the meds worked for me tho but I got 0 sleep in the hospital it was to uncomfortable for me but it was worth it when I had him tbh

Remember to take your pain meds on time, get up to walk around as soon as you can, and I've said this a few times, but having a shower chair really saved me in the first few weeks. Also having a boppy pillow for nursing.

It's not a picnic, but I had no problem recovering and getting back into shape. I was the fittest I'd been since my wedding after my son was born. Don't stress so much, it's not so horrible. 😊

I lived in a recliner for my recovery. It was easier than laying in bed, could get in and out easily. If u have to cough, grab a pillow and hold it over your tummy, it wont hurt as much.  And heating pads are awesome! !

I had a emergency C-section and I was nervous & scared but I'm 3 weeks in and it's not bad at all when I was in the hospital I had pain medicine and I would get up  when baby would cry and feed her and move around and still do I get up and do things like nothing totally forgetting I had a C-section. I pretty much take care of babygirl it's not bad at all but I do wish I was prepared for the C-section process.

I had one with my first and was up walking around that night some.   Ill be having another one here in a month. Ask for gas meds as your belly will be full of air and it will help!  Don't push yourself let your body heal and snuggle that new baby as much as possible.  Congratulations on the new baby!!!

I had an emergency c section and it was aweful I think having a scheduled one would be better so you can come to terms and google things and ask questions and know what to expect instead of being caught off guard completely. My one word of advice would be to take the pain meds they give you. I never took any cuz I refused to come to terms with having a c section and tried to tough out the pain of recovery which was a huge mistake. I hope to have a vbac with my next but if I do have a repeat c section I will definitely take the meds and any help I can

.... I really don't understand why people say c sections are so bad, it really isn't that bad. I prefer a c section over a vaginal birth. You deal with the pain at home and you can take a pill to help it
