Esther is 10 months old ( be a year old on 3-23) and the last week or so she's started screeching at the top of her lungs for long periods of time. I can't tell if it's a happy or sad noise. I've tried telling her no inside voice and whispering. I've tried ignoring it. I've tried figuring out if she needs or wants something like food or her cup or a cuddle. I've tried distracting her with a toy or reading or just holding her. Nothing has worked and I'm not sure what to think do or what's going on. Nursery leader at church says she doesn't do it there so far but she is always really intent on watching everyone too. So, maybe she's just trying out her voice ? Any suggestions to cope or get her to stop? Thanks from a tired mommy ready to pull her hair out.
