HIV & homicide??

My husband has all the signs of HIV and we have an open relationship. He says if he has HIV he's going to kill himself and me? Can't tell if he's just being dramatic or? Idk. I find that very concerning and almost don't want to get checked just in case now?? But also he never has threatened me before and we have a wonderful relationship outside of this one comment??
He says it's my fault for opening up the marriage, but he's the one who wanted that and kept talking to people outside of our marriage so I made it happen for him... I couldn't live with myself if I made this happen to us so naively. The rules were the other person had to have an STD check. I don't understand how this couldve happened. What will happen to our daughter? How easy is it to spread to her?!

Update: We do have potential partners have STD checks first. But his long term partner also has sex with other people since then.

You need to get him some help, especially if he's threatening you. HIV is not the death sentence it was.  But even if he doesn't have it, that reaction is beyond unhealthy.

Is this a real post? Open relationships can be great but the sex should still be safe..you should both get checked so you don't pass it to other people or potential future children. But it could be anything else...symptoms are often vague. And if he mentioned killing himself or you, just leave him cause that's actually mental.

Is there anywhere safe you can stay with your daughter? You need to get out. Your husband sounds abusive and awful. It's not okay for him to threaten you and that's a toxic environment for a child.

I'd get the hell out of there. There is no excuse to joke about killing anyone. Your safety is priority.  Once you are safe, communicate to him what is going on so he can get help, both physically and mentally. Get yourself tested. Any meeting with him should be in public with friends or family and if you have to get stuff you need to have a civil standby there. There are way too many murder suicides out there to laugh this off.

This is a big red flag! At the very least try to seek help for him. I suggest getting out while you can and get yourself tested. I am so sorry you are going through this!... I wish you the best of luck!
