what is wrong with people

Today I was getting blood work done for normal pregnancy stuff. The tech who was drawing my blood began talking to me about my pregnancy, and how she was also pregnant at my age (24). She claimed that she was too young to accept the full responsibility and still felt the need to party. She drank throughout her pregnancy!! I asked her if she meant the recommended glass of wine towards the end. But no, she would go out and get drunk atleast once a week!! She claims she listened to her mothers advice rather than the doctors. Her mother drank and smoked throughout her pregnancies as well. This woman is now 47 and to this day doesn't see anything wrong with drinking during pregnancy. She says her child is healthy, which to me must be Gods blessing because a woman like that probably couldn't handle a child with special needs and all the work and attention followed with that. I just couldn't believe my ears.
