Is heartburn an early pregnancy symptom??

Af is two days late had sharp pain in left pelvic area yesterday and the last four days I have been having heartburn but today it's horrible!! Could this be an early symptom? Anyone else had this issue?

I did have random heartburn at the beginning of my 1st pregnancy. But it could've been a fluke, I wouldn't rely on symptoms... just wait until af is due
