How would you pronounce Eleanora?

We're naming our second daughter (whenever that may be!) Eleanora. But my hubby and I want it pronounced (El-lee-uh-nor-uh) and I'm worried the way it's spelled will have people saying her name wrong all the time! We were trying to think of a different spelling (Ellyanora?) But we like the original spelling better. Thanks for answering the poll :)

I work with an Italian woman called Eleanora and it's pronounced by everyone as El-eh-nor-ah

I would say the traditional pronounciation for that spelling is El Uh Nora. The nicest way to spell your desired pronounciation I can think of is Elianora. Or if you don't mind a hyphen maybe Ellie-Anora. Hope this helps.

I would pronounce it the way you want it pronounced, and even though most people wouldn't, apparently, I would still spell it that way. It's not a difficult correction to have to make, as these things go, and whether most people know it or not, that is the pronunciation of a real name that exists and is spelled that way. Mostly, though, I think you should keep the spelling because the alternative spellings suggested so far are very unappealing, and Eleanora is nice-looking.
