Once child support starts how can you request to have the payments dismissed meaning I no longer want child support? My child's father and I are still together we met in college I got pregnant while in school.. we both were out of state students , I'm in Missouri he's in Texas. Well we both were "broke" college students living on a campus when I found out I was pregnant the best thing for me was to come back home.. he had a semester left in school so we both agreed for him to stay in graduate, well unfortunately him getting a bachelors degree wasn't enough to land him a good paying job so he decided to do another year to get his masters . Well he's still in Texas in now my daughter is 8 months old we live in Missouri we both have made numerous trips bbavk and forth to be able to spend time together.. well money wasn't coming in how I wanted to I desperately had to apply for Medicaid and Tanf .. in Missouri they force you to put the other child's parent on child support if you receive any government assistance.. my bf is not working and I can honestly say he's made some stupid decisions regarding being financially supportive instead of getting a job he decided to go back to school so he's not able to help out ass much (childish decision at the time I know) well the state of Texas didn't care that he had no income or no job so they ordered him to pay 275 a month.. I really don't want to see him struggle or get in trouble by not paying it and I don't want this to get in between our relationship so I'm just trying to see what I should do in this situation
