STI False Positive?

Has anyone ever experienced this...... 
After my yearly physical which I forgot includes a standard check for Chlamydia, my doctor called me and shocked the hell out of me with a positive test result....... I had back together with my current BF for a year now, we had a short break and up until that break he was the only guy I had been with. Period. 5 years of monogamy. But during our break we each had 1 new partner, so it was technically possible....... the man is a saint and handled the news well, he got tested negativeand was confident his "girl" was clean from our break. And I contacted my "guy" and he, and his new fling were both clean. . Only conclusion is that I had a false positive.  After a year of no symptoms for either of us..  anyone ever get false reading?

Chlamydia also known as the "silent one" rarely has any symptoms. They call it the silent one because it can go un treated for a very long time. Just because he says he doesn't have it doesn't mean he never did. I'd get treated either way.

Also it's harder for guys to get STI's because nothing really goes in them per say and it it does(bacteria or whatever) they just pee it out. So with that being said, they can have sex and transfer the STI's but not actually get them.

Neither of us have ever had anything before the guy I was with and the girl he is currently are all negative and my Bfs sexuality partner was negative. I was the only odd man out somehow. Regardless we were both treated. But curious if anyone has had it happen to them.

Just because he's clean now doesn't mean he always was. It's unlikely it was a false positive some people are asymptomatic
