Biting???

Question

Hi I have a question so today I was bf my lo when all of sudden she bit me and I mean bit me!!!  She litteraly went thru the skin and made me bleed. What can I do stop this im afraid to bf her again and that she will bite me again . Have you had this problem?  How did you deal with it?  What advice can you give me..

Answer

If she bites, take her off your breast and firmly say "NO. We do not bite mommy." Then wait a minute before letting her latch back on. Every time she bites, repeat. She'll learn not to do it if it means she won't get to eat.
