What to expect at the first appointment

Hello! I'm due October 15th and 5 wks and 4 days today. My first  appointment is March 13th and I'll be 9 weeks on the day and I was curious on what should I expect to be done? First baby!

I got an ultrasound at my first appointment, my husband and I gave health histories, did a urine test, Pap or culture, got a goodie bag, and after they confirmed with the ultrasound they sent me for blood work.

I'm also due October 15th!! I have my first appointment march 6th (8 weeks) but my first visit is just intake where they go over everything that'll be happening, all the tests and blood draws and blah blah blah. My second appointment is march 20th (10 weeks) with my actual doctor and that's when I'll get a pap, and an ultrasound in office. With my first I didn't hear the heartbeat until my third appointment at like 12 weeks. All doctors are different!!! Call and ask yours, then you'll know whether or not you need to bring hubby along!

Great question! I'm 6 weeks along first appt is on the 1 of March. Not sure what to expect either.  :/ glad you asked though.

I had my first appointment this week at exactly 5 weeks. Urine sample, blood drawn (6 tubes), Pap smear, pelvic exam, prenatals, and scheduled an ultrasound for 6 weeks 5 days. Good luck!
