My boyfriend and I have been together for over a year now and things are still going really well. He just doesn't do the sweet little things for me anymore. We spend a lot of time together but it doesn't have as much quality conversation. Is this normal? Do y'all have similar experiences?

It's called "leaving the honeymoon period". Happens very frequently. It's no ones fault you just get really comfortable and know your partner too well that you don't feel the need to constantly rip their clothes of or have conversations till 4 in the morning. Personally i think it's a good thing, you start being able to be your own person outside each other. If you feel the intimacy and loving period is gone, maybe make a compromise to go out on dates every 2-3 weeks. Somewhere fun and new to both of you. No phones, no interruptions just you two. Don't take it personally, they are just being themselves. Just talk about how you feel and make time for things you can do together, things you can do while in the same room that don't involve commicating (ie let him play his xbox while you look at Facebook) and time for things you can do yourself without him.

i'm actually going through the exact same thing... we've been together since november 2014 and it just feels like all the romance is lost. we act more like best friends, and he IS my best friend, i just miss the sweet gestures and nicknames and all that.

At first, we were like two kids in middle school who swore we had found the love of our lives, but then the Honeymoon Stage wore off and we just got comfortable with each other. We still do nice things for each other, but we aren't obsessed with each other like in the beginning.

Um I did notice that in past relationships but now it's different the guy I'm with is better  each day and it's been 3+ years

My man does it just not as often. He will still randomly buy me flowers but only once a year or so. But we aren't exactly lovey people and never have been
