should I go on vacation without my husband?
A band that I've loved for over 10 years (good charlotte) is going on the warped rewind cruise to Conzumel, Mexico next October. All of my friends from our fan base that I've met online and in person at the concerts (about 20-30) are going. Everyone is going except me...
#1- My husband says we can't afford it. I think we can. But the ship is departing from New Orleans and we are in NY so we'd have to fly down to New Orleans then back. That's what he thinks is so stupid when we can just go on a normal cruise departing from NY.
#2 We are going to Costa Rica (my husbands country) next month. I will be meeting my inlaws for the first time! He will finally be getting his citizenship and the funny thing is that we have had dreams to go on a cruise together for years. He just doesn't want to go on this one for the above reason, and also the fact that he thinks I will be fangirling the whole time and not give him much attention as it's basically a music festival cruise.
He told me that I can go by myself and boy am I tempted to see GC again with all of my friends! (Joel madden even personally knows me from seeing me around so much! He calls me out by my name lol) but I feel super guilty about it because we were dreaming about going on a cruise together. I would feel so guilty about going on a vacation without my husband. He just doesn't get it that I love this band (so much) and have great friends that I met through them. He says we can go on a normal cruise leaving NY.
I totally get it, but the kid in me just wants to go!! If you were in my boat, would you go on this vacation with all of your friends and leave your husband at home, or just pass on the cruise??
