Circumcising your child?

Would you circumcised your son or are you totally against it? Some women are for it and some aren't. Let me know your opinions!

Fuck no. I wouldn't cut off a little girl's clitoral hood, so why cut the same piece off of a little boy?

I used to be for it. I changed my opinion after doing some research though.

The main argument for it is that it's cleaner, that they are more likely to get uti's and stuff from having foreskin. This is actually completely untrue. There is no higher risk for infections, and it takes no longer to clean than an uncircumcised penis.

The other argument for it is cosmetic. This should not be a decision that the parent makes, in my opinion. The child should be able to choose to do it or not do it when they are old enough to make such a decision.

Another reason why I'm against it now is because of female circumcision. We consider female circumcision to be barbaric and cruel - so why is it not cruel to do it to a male? To an infant? It's pretty hypocritical.

The US is one of the only countries that actually circumcise. In Europe and most other places in the world, it's almost unheard of to find a circumcised man.

There are absolutely no health benefits for doing it. A cosmetic decision should be up to one having the procedure done. Why put your infant through pain for literally no reason whatsoever? They are born with foreskin there, it does not need to be removed, just like any other part you are born with does not need to be removed.

I would recommend you to watch a babies circumsision before you do it and you be the judge... I didn't... but is a personal preference.

I'm not against it really because I understand that many men are circumcised because of religious views but if I had a son I wouldn't do it. 
Just because if it's not for religious reasons I don't really see the point because as long as a boy/man has good hygiene they will be okay having foreskin 😊

Plus I haven't experienced a circumcised Penis and my partner and my ex never seemed to have an issue with having foreskin

I'm neither for or against it. Opinions differ and even "facts" depending on the source you find your research from. I was going to get my son circumcised but didn't have the money available so he's intact and we haven't had any issues with it and I don't think anyone thinks it looks odd.

My husband is and our son is also it was a choice we both made i dont regret having it done and it really is no more painful or truamatizing than them going through birth and when my daughter has her first shots we will be taking her to pierce her ears again a choice we both made
