spotting on Nexplanon

Okay so, my doctor prescribed me birth control pills to regulate my period on the Nexplanon. I've been taking pills since November, afterThanksgiving. I've been taking the regular pills (the blue) and skipping the period (the green) pills but now I'm a spotting a little bit. Did anyone else have this problem? Or when I finish this pack should I take the green pills to activate my period? I'm just a little nervous that the blood won't stop because when I first had my period on the Nexplanon alone it lasted for the whole month of November.
