Cat hurt herself yawning....

So we have a cat who is nearly 17 years old. Found her today with her mouth stuck wide open. Not just hanging open but like wide open, you could see straight down her throat. So we rush her to the vet and $500 later they tell us she most likley yawned too big and her muscles strained and got stuck. She literally hurt herself yawning. She's also on a strict diet to control her diabetes. Her only medical issues have been from overeating, and now from yawning. So glad she is not an active cat anymore. If she hurts herself doing literally nothing, I dont even want to imagine what is going to happen the day she decides to jump off the dresser or something. She would probably shatter lol 🐈❤
