Please help!!?

Question

So i heard that putting baking soda and water on your face to exfoliate helps with acne. I of course tried it, and no my face feels like i poured super glue all over it and its extreamly red plus its very tight on my face. Any ideas on how to get this off? Ive tried basically everything. from cold water, to crotisone•10 gel. and nothing. Ive gone to the doctors and they said use the same thing. ive had it about 5 days now. PLEASE HELP!

Any time that your skin feels tight and/or itchy it means you're wayyyyy tooo dry. Get some coconut oil on there and STOP touching it. 
It will calm your skin and protect you from infection without clogging your pores.

Like don't even wash it to night or in the morning. Use a gentle wash cloth and warm water. Lightly wipe your face down ONCE and reapply coconut oil.  Do it all week if you have to. Your skin needs time and some space:

And don't use cold water. It's not pleasant and there's no reason to use it.

Use warm water and rinse thoroughly. I would put on some coconut oil as a moisturizer. Its lightweight but provides a solid dose of moisture and is antimicrobial.

Exfoliating is great! Find a face scrub you like and do it like 1-2 times a week (not st. Ives or nuetrogena)

But honestly it just sounds like you've dried out your face and stripped off all your oils.

You need those oils to protect you skin and act as a buffer. When you use things that are too harsh and drying - your skin freaks out cause it needs to protect itself. Most of the time that means that your oil glands start working like crazy to compensate and that's what leads to acne (along with a few other things).

Give your skin some moisture and leave it a line for like 2 weeks. Just use something SUPER gentle (cetaphil is a great gentle cleaner that you can pick up ANYWHERE)

After that re-evaluate. I wouldn't attempt to exfoliate far another 3-4 weeks.

If your skin is THAT bad-find an esthetician that you can trust and go in for regular facials- I guarantee they'll get you right.
