Does your baby do this?

My 3 week old son is completely content just laying in his pack n play looking around and moving his arms and legs. This is only after he is changed and fed of course, and if he is still awake. The thing is, I feel bad not holding him/interacting with him. I don't leave him in there for long and if he cries I immediately pick him up. My question is...is this normal? Is it good for him to have some quiet alone time or should I be constantly holding or interacting with him when he's awake?

He is plenty stimulated in there without interaction. I say give him his alone time!!

My son does this for a bit and then gets restless. I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Yes it's good! And it gives mom a lite break too! As long as he's happy let him lay and soak up his surroundings. 😁

My son lovessss to just look around the room!!  His Grammy bought him a play mat with little toys that dangle and he'll just lay there content😊.

My daughter does the same thing!

This is currently my sons favorite activity!  We say he's "playing".  We did just get a play mat with toys but before he would just lay on the floor or couch and kick and coo and look around.
