starting my 4th month on baby cereal??

So my son turned 4 months the 14th and has usually been doing good sleeping threw the night but has recently been waking up in the middle of the night....does anyone else been feeding their little one cereal before bed?? If so does it help??

Feeding solids (cereal) doesn't make babies sleep longer

I give my son 1tsp of cereal and 3 tsp of banana baby food mixed well in the bottle make it nice and warm and he fall to sleep instantly! They get full and it's takes a little long so you'll be able to sleep an extra hour or two. Also if you shortened there map times from 4 down to an hour or two they will sleep longer at night. At least that works with my little one!

Look into the 4 month sleep regression, and starting any food before 6 months is no longer recommended because of virgin gut, and most won't recommend cereal/rice at all anymore because it has no nutritional value. Sorry you're little one isn't sleeping great! We're in the same boat😭

We stopped rice cereal after 5 days because he didn't poop once for those 5 days. Also now he is having "explosive" poops. I believe his body is trying to get back to his normal. We are taking a break and going to try bananas and then a week later try oatmeal.
