1 hour glucose test instructions?

Just curious if the mommas who have had the test had any special dietary instructions for the day of the test?

I just had to be fasting for 12 hours.

I had the app at 9am and they said not to eat anything from 10pm the night before,just water

I'm going for mine tomorrow and all I've been instructed to do is fast 8 hours prior to the test.

I was told don't eat anything with a lot of carbs, or sugar.  I went before lunch and didn't drink coffee or OJ that morning with my breakfast,  just water.  I drank the lemon lime one,  it wasn't that bad.  Tasted like Walmart brand sprite just more sugar

Mine was at 10am so they told me to eat a breakfast consisting of protein and veggies, no sugar or carbs. I ate scrambled eggs and avocado 2.5 hours before my appt and passed.

I was told no eating 2 hours prior to the test by the lab and my midwife suggested to not eat sugary foods for breakfast.

they told me just no carbs or sugar. water and protein. so i ate 2 eggs and an avocado with a lot of water. this was last wednesday.

I passed no problem following my doctors instructions. She said no sugar the day before the test. She also suggested I eat protein and no carbs for breakfast, so I had scrambled eggs. She said you definitely want to eat because if you don't, it will affect the results in a bad way. Then I was told to not eat 1 hour before the test. That was it!

I was told to eat normally, and failed by 7 points (peanut butter and crackers on the way there).  Didn't pass the 3 hour by 4 points. Now I'm checking my blood sugar with FANTASTIC numbers 4x a day. You don't need to fast, just avoid carbs and have some protein like eggs beforehand. Wish I would've known!

My doc said fast for 2-4hrs before. But I plan to go first thing in the morning so I will just not eat before going.
