Should I be honest with my new gynecologist how long we've been trying to conceive? It's been 8 months and I'm worried she will make me wait another four before doing anything to help me with TTC. I'm thinking about telling her it's been a year.

Were you preventing before that? I'd be specific "we've been actively trying for 8 months but before that we didn't prevent for 6 months" or whatever the case may be.

Your doctor also may not put you off anyway based on age, cycle regularity, or other fertility factors. 👍🏻

My husband and I have been trying since May, and I told mine about it back in December and now I have an appointment on March 2 to do some testing. Just tell them the truth and then set something up for a few months later if your not pregnant by then.
