How do you stop trying???!!!

I've heard this so many times and I just don't understand how to do it! Have been TTC for so long and I don't know how to just stop trying... I just read a few comments on others stories on here about how they stopped trying and I'm just wondering how???!!! How do you stop trying for something you want so bad???!!! Someone please tell me the secret...because according to the comments I've read here and other places it really works!

I've stopped for months at a time. I've never charted and only used opks once so that part wasn't hard. But I know my body. The knowledge doesn't go away but you can stop doing it all. I found things to keep my
Interest. Pretty soon you'll love the break. My heart missed trying but my mind spirit and heart needed rest more. Good luck hon

The two times I've stopped trying was because major things were going on. 1st time my husband was deploying to afghanistan for 9 months, so the last cycle I just said screw it ( got pregnant & mc at 8 wks ). Than the 2nd time was the month he got back, but we weren't trying cause we were going to start treatment with the RE the following month ( naturally conceived twins, mc 1 at 10wks, discovered the 2nd 1 at 12wks in my tube, had right tube removed ) beside the point ! When you least expect it !

After our 4 th loss, we are not trying anymore. I'm stopping my OV sticks, stopping taking my bbt, and will prob delete glow once this MC is done so I don't see where I am in my cycle. 
I hear you, I couldn't stop either until I made my mind up to stop. I hope you don't stop, bc then it means you've given up. Don't give up. I sound like a hypocrit, but I'm giving up doing this the old fashioned way, bc I physically can't take it.
