When are you planning to announce your pregnancy to your family and friends?

Really interested to find out everyone's opinions with this and their location.

Here in the UK it's not usually announced until the first scan at 12weeks but I notice here that some people get a scan at around 6-8weeks!

My husband and his family are very hush hush about it and don't want us to tell anyone until 12weeks at the very least! I just want to blurt to the world, especially as I'm a terrible liar...I work in healthcare and I'm sure they've all figured it out anyway with my constant nausea and trips to the bathroom!!

My husband and I just told our parents when we first found out, but we are going to wait until 12 weeks to tell everyone else.

My husband and I plan on waiting because of previous miscarriage and chemical.

When we found out we were only about 3 1/2 weeks and we told almost everyone who is important to us. I've had family members who had miscarriages and they said they wish they told because it's more support you need during a difficult time. This is a perfect example we have so many mothers here who have been through dealing with this. We can all lean on eachother! We are now 6 weeks and besides the morning sickness everything is great! It's killing me to wait so long. I saw my sister yesterday and she was talk about going on holiday in October and I was shouting in my head NO!!

We are going to TRY and wait until we're 16 weeks and have a gender scan to reveal to everyone.  Until then it's just me and my husband that will know  however this is my 3rd and I'll probably be showing by then so we I'll see, I'll hold off as long as I can x

We already told our siblings and parents I've told a few close girlfriends as well. I'm 6 weeks I'll probably wait to announce it to everyone else after my first ultrasound

My immediate family all found out at 5w4days and everyone else will find out March 7th after my first scan when I'm 8w 😊 today I am 6w1d

We found out on Sunday (4 wks) and told our immediate family right away. We were so excited and knew that they all would be as well so it was an easy decision for us and I am glad we did! We will wait until our first ultrasound to tell extended family and friends.

I'm just waiting to get my ultrasound. I'll be getting one when I'm 8 weeks and 4 days.
