what should I check in and what should I carry on?

Okay my 8 month old, hubby and I are going on our first international trip to Jamaica with baby for 4 days & 3 nights. This is obviously my first time traveling with a baby . What should I check in and what should I carry on for baby?  Thanks in advance

I am getting ready to travel to Europe with my 10 month old.

I am carrying on: 
1. Bag filled with new toys for him/DVD player
2. Travel crib (it folds down to a back pack size)
3. Diaper Bag with: bottles, pjs, diapers, wipes, formula, Motrin, Tylenol, change of clothes, and baby snacks.

I am checking:
1. Car Seat
2. 2 suit cases

I am going for about 13 days, so I am sure I am packing much more than you.
