Why don't kids listen???

Today is my due date and I'm miserable. I'm home with My son all day long while My husband is at work. My son is 3 and I definitely take that into consideration but at the same time he doesn't listen to anything I tell him. Sometimes I feel like he goes out of his way to go against want I say. My husband doesn't help either. If I say no he says yes but then he wonders why our son doesn't do anything anyone tells him to do. Does anyone else have this issue and how should I resolve it. Time out doesn't work talking to him doesn't work and taking toys and games away doesn't work. I'm going crazy.
