Upset about vaccines today

My daughter had shots today and the nurse basically injected her in her hip joint instead of the muscle it was supposed to go in... Im so upset to think she may have hit bone or hurt her joint. I'm an RN and I also used to work in a pediatric office and this is NOT the correct injection site. Vaccines on infants are supposed to be given in the Vastus Lateralis muscle (red line drawn on the picture). I called the doctor back in to show her what the nurse did and she was shocked and said she'd talk to the nurse about it. My husband thinks I'm overreacting but I'm seriously so pissed off. Also a lot of the vaccine came out because of how the nurse ripped the needle out. Am I overreacting? I feel like punching that nurse in her face. See the little bandaid in the picture near her hip?!
