Any expecting mothers have a history of kidney stones before pregnancy?

I have a hx of kidney stones, passed my first at age 21 and 2nd at 28 I am 30 in a few weeks and am nervous about passing a stone while pregnant. I have several in my right and left kidneys just waiting to pass and unfortunately they are calcium stones. I understand that we absorb more calcium during pregnancy and also take prenatal which include calcium so I am quite concerned. Please share your experience! Thank you!!

I had one when I was 29 weeks pregnant and I literally thought I was in labor. Lol the pain was excruciating.

I just passed my fifth this pregnancy, on Thursday. Yes, fifth in 32 weeks. For some reason, my body accumulates the stones, but I only pass them during my pregnancies. This has been the worst, though, so they'll be doing some extensive testing when I'm done nursing baby. My urologist and OB both agreed to have me stop taking my prenatal, because supplemental calcium goes straight to the kidneys, and dietary calcium doesn't. So, they said eat/drink calcium, but no supplements.

I have kidney disease and have passed multiple stones. I have large clusters in both kidneys. I didn't pass any with my first pregnancy but I just passed one with this pregnancy (I was 19 weeks at the time). It sucked because obviously there isn't much they could do and I didn't want to take a bunch of pain meds. My kidney dr just wants to keep a closer eye on me and do some extra blood tests every few weeks. He said about 3 months after I give birth he wants to go in and break them up.

I also suffer from kidney stones. I had my first one at 18, one at 20 (after my son was born), and one at 23. I'm thankful I made it through my first pregnancy without one. I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant and haven't had one yet. My doctor went ahead and prescribed me pain medicine just in case. Talk to your doctor to see what he/she can do for you!
