sex after miscarriage and before first period

So I am in the process of miscarrying. This will be my second in a row. My doctor said that I can have sex after the bleeding stops if we use condoms until my first cycle. The thought of having sex and not trying for a baby breaks my heart so I told my husband I can't have sex until after my first cycle probably at the end of march beginning of April. Have any of you others ladies felt this way? I just can't do it. It makes me so sad to even think about having sex and not being able to try for a baby. We have been trying for a year now and have had two miscarriages. One in December the week before Christmas and this one on Valentine's Day.
