Ultrasoubd or menstrual cycle?

Hi everyone. Midwife calculated my due date from last menstrusl cycle and accordung to that im 11 weeks. But recently i was in er coz spotting little bit and they saw on ultrasound and said im 12 weeks. Which one is right? Should i go by ultrasound or by last menstrual cycle?

You're just measuring a week ahead. They'll most likely continue to consider your due date the one that's calculated form your LMP. The baby can have growth spurts (measure big) and then level out, or might continue to measure big the whole time. Our baby has measured at least a week ahead my whole pregnancy, but we still go by my LMP due date.

I measured behind at my first Ultrasound, and then caught up at my next. I don't think they're 100% reliable, which is why they usually stick to the LMP date to be safe.

You may have ovulated before that cycle and thats when you conceived and it really wasn't your period.
