Pedicure causing early labor?

I have been told to wait until 37+ weeks to get a pedicure due to putting women into labor. I have several friends that swore it put them into labor! I just would love to have one before baby is born and to have cute toes of course!

I had one at 34w. The only thing I've heard of as posing a risk (& I'm not convinced how legit of a risk it is TBH) is massaging the ankle area, so you can always just have them skip that :) & of course I'd make sure the salon is well ventilated.

Ummm. No. I've had regular pedicures through and I'm 38 weeks, latest one was last Sunday. Nothing...

I got my nails done last week and the massage was not has thorough as usual. Probably for that reason. If you don't want to risk it causing labor I would just tell them your concern. They can avoid that area.

There's a pressure point near the ankle so if they massage you in the right spot for right amount of time it can happen. Acupuncture is pretty much what it is. Japanese people swear by it haha but again it's not their intention to put you in labor so unless they can do some serious massages you are fine.

I have one once a month and never had an issue, just had my last one the day before valentines day, currently 35+5
