Anyone else's baby sleep in a rock and play?

Little one is 12 weeks.  Gotta transition her to the crib soon.  She's finally sleeping 5-6 hr stretches and I'm scared it'll stop and she'll regress once I start the transition :(

Please all you mamas, research extended sleep in a Rock n Play. It's not recommended for extended periods of time because of the angle it can put the baby's head at, restricting air flow, as well as for other reasons. I'm sorry if this makes me sound like I'm trying to tell you how to parent, because I'm not. And I personally know people who have used them for that and their babies were fine. But I wouldn't feel right if I didn't at least pass on some information to help keep you informed. Just research it and then use that to make an informed decision :-)

I have to say I've loved the rock and play. But I am not looking forward to the transition to the crib. My son is two months old and still only sleeping 2-3 hours at a time at night. I don't know what to do. I hope he starts with the longer stretches soon.

We've moved into the crib a couple weeks ago and it was no issue at all. She sleeps great in her room.

Ugh, I have the same fear!! We've moved our son into his nursery where he sleeps in his rock n play. If I don't reset it when I get up for his night feeding, it shuts off and he wakes up! I keep thinking, ok if he needs to be constantly moving, how is he going to be able to sleep in his crib?! Not looking forward to crib training. Our little guy needs constant movement. He usually naps in his swing during the day

I transitioned my baby from a bassinet to her crib last week and she actually went from sleeping 3-4 hour stretches to 8-10 hour stretches. It was a blessing for me! But the first day or two were awful, no sleep til we both got used to the transition. She is 2.5 months old right now.

I transitioned my son out of his rock n play and into his crib in my room about two weeks ago, so he was 9 weeks. I did it slowly. I would alternate between rock n play and crib. He falls asleep quickly after his 4 am feeding so I would put him in the rock and play at bedtime then the crib after his feeding. I would also attempt to have him nap in the crib which often worked but If it didn't I would put him in the rock n play. I did this for several nights and occasionally would put him in the crib at bedtime then the rock n play after feedings until he just went in the crib. I just officially took the rock n play out of my room and he's doing great in the crib now.

My baby sleeps in his rock and play or sometimes on the bed after his dad goes to work. But he's almost outgrown it so going to switch to the crib pretty soon here. He is 2 months and sleeps anywhere from 4-7 hours at night hoping to keep that up

My daughter does, she's also in my bed too! She doesn't rely on the vibration since I don't turn it on. I'm going to put her crib in my room. I am not ready for her to be all the way in her room yet.

We just made that transition this week. We are on night 3, and he has slept less than before. He was doing 6-7 hours and now he has only done 4 at most. I am hoping it gets better soon! I start work Monday so I was hoping he would fully transition by then. Hopefully your LO does better!

I just started transitioning on Friday, starting with naps so shes used to the environment. She was able to get a solid hour nap yesterday, working on putting her down as we speak
