Away from baby while breastfeeding

My baby is almost 6 weeks old. I know that employers are required to allow a woman to pump at work, so I'm not too worried about pumping at work, but last night my husband and I went to a concert while my mom took care of our baby, and going that long without nursing or pumping is just way too uncomfortable! How do you deal with being away from baby without having a place to pump? I have an electric pump, and I can't bring it along everywhere that I go! Lol
